Structural foam injection molding produces parts consisting of solid external skin surfaces surrounding an inner cellular (or foam) core, as shown in FIGURE PP.13. Large, thick structural foam parts can be produced by this process with both low and high pressure and using either nitrogen gas or chemical blowing agents (see oaming Process).
